I've filed this in the tracker, as well as Bob's comments.  I'll add

Thanks for reporting this.  I've already spent some effort on this, with 
a workaround and also longer-term fix for the next MS4W release, as 
mentioned in the ticket.  Please everyone interested add your registered 
username as CC to the ticket and provide testing feedback. Thanks.
