[MS4W-Users] scalable labels

All,

I don’t think there is a way to do this directly, but you may be able to devise an algorithm to display the labels by size, based on the area of the feature (Is it a polygon?). Might need mmore than one setting or break point base don zoo value, but it sort of gets you what you are looking for. The label might still cross the edges of the feature, but using the area as a label size modifier might work.

Hello,

Is there a way with MapServer to have label font sizes automatically adjust to fit within a feature?

I know you can control the global font size of the layer and you can control the scales for when labels appear.

I was hoping there was a way where the label for a smaller polygon could still appear with a smaller font rather than not appearing at all, without changing the font globally.

Thanks.
